With a Dimavery JDS-305 complete 5-part kids drum kit (red), you or your kid can learn how to drum without consulting the bank first. You might want to consult with your neighbours though, because before you know it the drummer in question wants to go on playing. This drum kit is remarkably complete for a set with such a low price. Investing in lessons is by all means a good one, as research has shown that playing an instrument greatly enhances general motor skills.

Parts of the JDS-305

This kit contains all the essential bits. Of course, a drum kit can always be bigger and more expansive (or expensive for that matter) but for a first kit there's really no need. You can always add extra components later. This set contains a bass drum (16 x 11 inches) with a bass drum pedal, two toms, a floor tom and all the necessary (chrome) hardware. Naturally, a snare drum (12 x 5 inches, in this case) could not be omitted and a crash and a hi-hat (with a hi-hat pedal) complete the picture. The shells of this drum kit are made of 6-ply laminated wood.
