Meinl's WB500AMB bongos are made of top-quality materials and are part of the Woodcraft series. This set consists of 7 and 9-inch bongos, which are equipped with Meinl's Free Ride suspension system. The smaller bongo is also known as the 'macho', and it's best suited for producing high-pitched slaps. Meanwhile, the larger bongo is known as the 'hembra', and works best for mid-range tones. The combination of these excellent drums allows you to add a warm yet varied sound to your percussive palette. Furthermore, Meinl fitted these bongos with natural cowskin drumheads for enhanced comfort, while the American white ash shells have been given a beautiful Antique Mahogany burst finish.

Meinl WB500AMB: Free ride system

Meinl chose to equip the WB500AMB with their patented Free Ride suspension system, which allows the shells to resonate freely. It does not require any holes to be drilled into the shells, and mounts the bongos in such a way that they are not in contact with each other. The result: optimal resonance and a warm bongo sound. Furthermore, the TTR rims give this set a traditional look, and all hardware has a stunning chrome finish.
