If the Universal Audio 6176 channel strip was a record, it'd be the esteemed American manufacturer's of audio signal processing gear 'Best of' album since this unit combines Bill Putnam's 610 preamp with the famed 1176 FET compressor. Flipped into Join mode, this vintage-style channel strip internally routes the preamp output to the compressor, while in Split mode, you can simply run the preamp and compressor as standalone effects. Whatever you do, high quality and long-established sound is a given.
