When metal guitarist Jim Root (from Slipknot and Stone Sour) was invited to design a signature guitar, he had no doubt about how he wanted it to be: simple, practical and black. The Jim Root Stratocaster is an authentic American Fender but definitely not a traditional Strat. This flat black electric guitar with black hardware happens to be a genuine shredder, made for rougher types of music and playing styles. It has no fringes, just a single volume knob, two high-gain active humbuckers and a flat, fast neck. Can you handle this guitar?
Properties of the Fender Jim Root Stratocaster
Contrary to that of a traditional Strat, the body of the Jim Root Stratocaster was made of mahogany, giving it a more full, warm and fat sound that goes extremely well with Jim Root's violent playing style. The comfortable 22-fret neck features a beautiful black ebony fretboard without inlays. Thanks to its extremely flat 12 to 14-inch compound radius, it allows for ultra-low action and trouble-free bends of two strings or more without clattering or loss of notes. The hardtail bridge, large '70s-style headstock and strings-through-body construction all contribute to the guitar's sustain. To complete the picture, this guitar is equipped with a set of high-quality tuners for optimal tuning stability and fast and easy string changes.
Active EMG Humbucker Pickups
There's really only one type of pickup that is up to the job of a metal guitar like this one and that's the active humbucker. Jim Root chose an EMG 60 in the neck position and an EMG 81 near the bridge. Not only do these pickups provide beautiful, neat looks, they also produce massively high output making them ideal for driving high-gain amplifiers and distortion effects. Whether clean or mega-distorted, the EMG's produce a clear, neat sound without any noise or hum, essential when playing metal at high volumes. The Jim Root Stratocaster features straightforward controls, consisting of just a single volume knob and a three-position pickup switch. Plug it and play it!

Je viens de recevoir ce magnifique jouet!!! Très bien emballé. Livré en avance.
Je dois avouer que les nombreux avis négatifs du site peuvent donner un coup de frein sur vos achats, et pour ma part j'ai eu quand même des sueurs. Mais tout compte fait, ce site est fiable aucun doute là-dessus. J'ai contacté le service client, les personnes sont à votre écoute, et très courtois. Il n'y a pas assez d'étoile pour noter...
Concernant l’instrument, conforme à la présentation du site. Agréable au touché. Livrée dans son étui Fender dans lequel se trouve une sangle Fender, un jack, et des straplocks. Pour couronner le tout, on trouve également le certificat d'authenticité Fender.
Je suis très satisfait de cet achat, d’autant plus qu'il y avait une superbe promotion, très compétitive que vous ne trouverez pas chez leur concurrent (vérifié le jour de ces fameuses promos).
Donc pour ce qui est des avis des négatifs, ne pas trop s'y fier, ou alors, en cas de doutes n'hésitez pas à vous rapprocher du service client qui pourra certainement vous renseigner sur la disponibilité des produits.
