Meet the Ibanez AZ2407F Prestige. The AZ body has been cut from solid basswood and topped with a unique 4mm-thick slice of flamed maple coated in transparent high-gloss polyester lacquer. This super-serious instrument also features a super-serious AZ Oval C neck hewn from S-Tech Wood roasted maple, which is not just insanely stable, but has an oil-coated backside for a supremely agile feel in the fret-hand.

The 12 inch fretboard radius and Prestige fret-edge treatment of the set of jumbo frets also support fast and fluid guitar work, and all of it is fully reinforced by the extra-stable tuning and tasty tremolo action of the mounted Gotoh T1502S tremolo bridge and MG-T locking tuners, which aren't just more stable, but speed up string-changes. And, to fully emphasise the mid-rich natural tone of this instrument, a three-piece set of DiMarzio pickups have been piled on top.

The Tone Zone humbucker planted at the bridge delivers giant sound packed with plenty of basses and low mids; the Air Norton humbucker at the neck lays on the warmth and balance, framing everything in stunningly defined overtones; and for some bright, even single-coil-style outputs, a True Velvet single-coil has been slapped in the middle. Via the fitted volume and tone pots and the five-way switch, the sound can be steered in any direction to uncover an extremely diverse tonal range, and as you'd only expect of a model of this calibre, it comes pre-wrapped in a hardshell case complete with an Ibanez multi-tool.
