The JS32 Rhoads by Jackson Guitars leaves a powerful impression. This guitar model has become legendary, especially in the heavier music genres. This model is equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge and has an austere-looking black colour with white bevels. This solid body has a powerful output thanks to two Zebra-style humbuckers and a fast maple neck (Speed Neck) that has a compound radius-fretboard. On top of that: it's highly affordable.
Jackson JS32 Rhoads: construction
The JS32 Rhoads has a body made of basswood which is a wood type that produces a rather warm sound with strong mids. This sound, that cuts through the mix perfectly, is great for shredders. Moreover, thanks to the neck, which has been bolted onto the body and reinforced with graphite, you can easily play your guitar parts extremely fast. The fretboard has a compound radius for a perfect sound and optimal playing comfort along the entire length of the fretboard, that has been fitted with 24 jumbo frets. The stable Floyd Rose tremolo bridge completes the picture.

Heb de gitaar net binnen. Hij is netjes afgewerkt en de nek speelt niet slecht. Ziet er ook mooi uit.
Toch ga ik hem denk ik terug sturen, want er zijn een aantal dingen die mij niet bevallen:
- de nek is niet met hoogglans afhewerkt: daardoor voelt de achterkant niet glad, maar stroef
- de frets zijn stroef: met opdrukken snaren voelt het niet soepel.
Ik denk niet dat je dat ooit beter krijgt. Met name de achterkant nek opnieuw gaan lakken zie ik niet zitten.
Ook klinken de humbuckers en deze gitaar samen niet diep: soort vlak geluid. De humbuckers kun je wel vervangen, maar de nek is geschroefd en de sustain van een gelijmde of doorlopende nek krijg je denk ik nooit.
Dus: goede gitaar, kwaliteit afwerking is ok. voor de lage prijs. Maar nek speelt niet soepel maar stroef, geluid is vlak.
Prima voor een andere gitarist misschien, maar ik ga iets anders zoeken
