This OV-500 by Dimavery has a natural colour for a more traditional look. The OV 500 is what is known as a roundback guitar, meaning that it has an arched back. The term roundback is often associated with Ovation guitars, after which this one is modelled. The roundback guitars are notable for their clear sound and excellent stage performance at high volume.

Built-in pickup for recording and performing

Thanks to the piezo pickup in the bridge and the preamp, you can also amplify this guitar excellently. The preamp features a three-band EQ and a Presence control, as well as a volume control and a battery-check button that quickly shows you whether the battery needs replacing. The OV-500 is ideal for home and studio recording and live performances. As this guitar produces more trebles than basses, it is hardly susceptible to feedback with stage monitors.

Innovative construction

The OV-500 has an arched synthetic back made out of the same piece as its sides. The top is made of agathis with a thin layer of spruce veneer. Instead of a large sound hole in the middle, the OV-500 has several smaller sound holes near the neck. Combined with the back, these sound holes produce the distinctive, clear and neat roundback sound. The maple neck features a dark rosewood fretboard with white position markers and white bindings for more comfort during playing.
