I got this pedal for muting our mixing desk effect. It's a push down to make .As long as your foot is pressing it down the function comes on or turns off depending on what device it's connected too. I had to open it up and resolder the switch in order for it to function as needed for our desk, but it was an easy & quick job. The pedal hinge is two hex screws. Undo those and it comes apart. There is the return spring that may fly out , so go slowly if you have to do this mod. There are three lugs on the switch..The two outside ones are used. De-solder the red lead and resolder it to the middle lug (unused, as the pedal is supplied). With the pedal like it is, connect it to your device and simply push the top of the micro switch down to make sure it functions for your needs. If this doesn't work, try reconnecting the red lead to it's original position and swap the black lead to the centre lug. One of these combinations should work if this modification is needed at all. You can then reassemble the pedal and 'Bob's your uncle' it's done. A very solid, well made steel unit with rubber pad to stomp on. Comes with a short lead. You may need a longer one.. Use an guitar lead (without shorting jacks on it ). The pedal should last years of abuse on the road, so the asking price reflects this.. You always get what you pay for.. Buy the best you can afford and generally, buy it once.
