The Meinl Byzance B14SH is a robust pair of 14-inch hi-hats. As part of the Byzance series, you can be sure that this B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin) cymbal has a unique, distinct sound with plenty of character and that it's completely hand-hammered.
Meinl Byzance B14SH
The B14SH hi-hats are not lathed, which allows the raw metal to retain its authentic sound and gives it a raw, pure look. Sound-wise, it results in a relatively short sustain and an 'earthy' sound. It has a solid pedal chick and plenty of presence, while also providing a very tight stick response. This pair of hi-hats has a unique look and is remarkably versatile, making it a valuable addition to your drum kit.
