Acoustic screens offer up a simple and highly mobile solution for acoustically separating different instruments. The building of a temporary wall around a drum kit or guitar amplifier or the construction of an entire vocal both is only a few of the possible applications for these infinitely flexible and useful bits of kit. Creating such walls and booths makes the job of any sound technician that bit easier by helping to ensure a balanced mix of any stage or studio performance. These screens basically prevent the sound of the cymbals or guitar amps invading the vocals. Many acoustic screens are made using plexiglass which is not only strong but great at containing sound. It's also transparent, so the drummer is completely walled off from the rest of the show and can actually see what's going on.
