The Seymour Duncan Sentient Humbucker features a modern passive alnico V dual-coil design, voiced for the neck position and set up for everything. This pickup is essentially the Goldilocks region between the legendary '59 pickup and the Jazz humbucker, so you get a modern core sound but a tighter take on the classic alnico 5 sound, keeping the rich harmonic range and the dynamics of your playing fully intact. Even in lower tunings, this pup translates chords and single notes with outstanding clarity and definition and leads are treated to an extra-creamy edge, while cleans are given plenty of sparkle. To prevent feedback, the Sentient features vacuum wax-potted coils and, since it comes pre-fitted with four conductors, it can be wired in to support coil-splitting, giving you single-coil as well as double-coil switching.
