Developed by u-he, Diva is a popular and respected piece of synth-based software. While the interface looks like so many virtual synthesizers, that's to say, a face full of knobs, the real reason to invest in Diva is hidden under the hood. Here, the basic components (oscillator, envelope, filter) are based on a number of synth-classics and can be freely mixed and matched, meaning you can hook up the oscillators of one legendary synth to the filter of another. Simply put, Diva gives you the power to create your own Moog-Jupiter (Jupi-Moog? Moogiper? hybrid! Anyone with a passion for analogue imperfection will be overjoyed with the fact that these imperfections can be adjusted per polyphonic voice, while two fabulous effects can be dropped on top as the finishing touch. Sure, the purest of analogue purists will continue to claim computers and software are digital, but no one can deny that u-He have loaded a serious amount of technology in Diva to make sure it's able to simulate analogue audio down to the tiniest of details. Ik gebruik Diva als analoge synth bij al mijn housemuziek producties. Het vraagt wat rekenkracht van je computer (ik heb zelf een i5 processor met 8GB RAM), maar de geluiden die het produceert zijn geweldig. Er zijn flink wat mogelijkheden om je synth geluiden aan te passen. In het begin kan de interface wat intimiderend overkomen, maar na een paar keer gebruiken en begrijpen hoe het werkt, is gebruik best intuitief.
Naast de al goede presets die standaard meegeleverd zijn, is er ook voldoende aanbod online om nieuwe presets aan te schaffen.

Klinkt erg analoog en 'in the face'. Z uitgebreide parameters, setups met 3, 2, 1 vco etc.
Heb je een basiskennis van de werking van synths kan je uitgaande van een preset, mits wat tweaking je persoonlijke klanken maken.
Op youtube vind je uitstekende tutorials.
