The ART VoiceChannel might be the most complete vocal or instrument recording tool going - to the point where you might actually struggle to find fault with this maximum performance preamp and compressor combo. The VoiceChannel is a smooth mash-up between a Class-A tube microphone preamp complete with dynamic control options, an expander, a de-esser to soften any plosives, and a semi-parametric equaliser with an analogue and digital output.
The ART VoiceChannel: Quality Inside and Out
The front control panel of this comprehensive preamp/compressor has been kept thankfully clean and clear, offering quick access to make parameter adjustments while the analogue VU-meter gives a satisfying physical indication of signal strength. This level of clean quality is carried through to the technology this unit houses. The preamp is driven by a Class-A 12AX7A tube circuit with variable input impedance and adjustable tube voltage, so that the warmth of the signal can be tweaked directly, resulting in a characteristically full sound that doesn't effect the dynamic range.
Even More Dynamic Potential
The VoiceChannel hands you direct dynamic control over the sound and it's the variable compressor, de-esser, and expander functions that are largely responsible for this. The semi-parametric equaliser offers a mass of spectrum and tone controls and, with the simple push of a button, can be placed before or after the compressor, de-esser, or expander as needed. The unit itself can also be quickly and securely connected to any external recording gear via the jack ports provided.
Digital Ready
Whether you prefer things analogue or digital, the ART VoiceChannel is able to accommodate, and can be hooked to near enough any console to get detailed visual feedback about your recording signal and access to an incredible array of tweaking options. The output signal frequency can be adjusted from 44.1kHz to 192kHz and using the built in USB port, the VoiceChannel can even be directly connected to a laptop or PC.

Tja, beetje dubbel gevoel over dit machien, Op zich ben ik er heel blij mee, precies wat ik nodig heb qua mogelijkheden van voldoende kwaliteit. Alleen de afwerking is een aandachtspuntje. Dee eerste die ik kocht rammelde en de LED-bar van de gain reductie zat scheef in de frontplaat. Kwestie van enigszins matige afwerking. Nu had ik hem wel weer kunnen terugbrengen maar ik heb het zelf maar even gedaan, ik had geen zin om hem weer weken kwijt te zijn. Het rammelen bleek een metalen ringetje, maar goed dat ik op tijd was voordat het sluiting zou maken. De tweede die ik gekocht heb had weer een ander mankement: De verlichting van de VU meter deed het niet. Hetzelfde verhaal: zelf maar even de soldeerbout gepakt en de vergeten soldering hersteld. Kortom, ik ben nu helemaal blij maar ze hebben bij ART wel een kwaliteitsprobleem vrees ik...

Hoi ik heb gister het apparaat binnen gekregen,ik heb veel dure merken in mijn studio staan, zoals Avalon, universal audio, tl audio, mijn studio 'la haye sound producions', ik neem diverse artiesten op
mijn kwaliteit moet erg goed zijn, maar ik wil wel eens wat anders proberen, mijn bevindingen op deze Art zijn ver boven verwachting zowel eq als . compressor zijn van hele goede kwaliteit , hiermee gaat art zijn naam flink omhoog mee werken, en dat nog eens voor dit geld
