The Blackhole created by Eventide has absorbed the sheer power and magic of the DSP4000 and the H8000, resulting in a first-rate reverb that's as mysterious as the universe itself. The Blackhole: A New Dimension to Your Sound

The possibilities of the Blackhole are literally endless, so to help you out, Eventide has gone with an intuitive control lay-out including Mix, Gravity (delay), Feedback (q), Size (depth), Lo (rate) and Hi (output level) controls. Next to the more standard types of reverb, there are two variations of infinite reverb as well. Using the Freeze switch, you're able to sustain the effect and play over the reverb trail to create complex soundscapes and ambient styles.

Vast Connection Potential

As a studio-quality effects pedal befits, the Blackhole features a multitude of connectors, including stereo inputs and outputs that can be switched to guitar or line level as needed to accommodate a slew of different musical instruments. In addition, you're free to hook up an expression pedal, while MIDI options can be opened up by plugging in a MIDI-to-TRS cable.

Modulation

Since the Eventide Blackhole has the modulation side of things built into the reverb structure, it's unlike other reverbs that offer pre/post modulation options. As such, the pedal can be considered a kind of multi-voice chorus that enables you to shape your tone in minute detail. The Blackhole comes pre-loaded with five presets, but using the Eventide Device Manager software, you can access a tenfold of additional presets.
