While often made from bronze or copper alloys, singing bowls can be made of a range of different materials including quartz crystal, which naturally resonates at a restful tone. As such, the Sela 10" Crystal Singing Bowl Frosted is made from quartz crystal which is first melted down and placed in a centrifuge to mould it into shape. The resulting bowl has then been given a frosted finish to complete its muted and minimal look. Using the included beater, the side of the bowl can be tapped or the beater can be drawn around the rim, vibrating the crystal at a frequency of 432 Hertz to match the cosmic key. More specifically, this model is tuned in E at 432Hz, so is a touch lower in pitch than the 440Hz that most musical instruments are tuned in. Set it atop the included silicon ring to ensure the maximum vibrational response and enjoy long-lasting sustain framed by harmonic overtones - ideal for yoga and meditation practises as well as sound therapy sessions.
