Already a guitarist's favourite, Guitar Pro is a powerful, in-depth score and tablature player, and since this is the eighth edition, it comes with some sweet improvements and additions. Compose or load in tab and play it back via the built-in virtual guitars, colour in the sound by loading a battery of virtual effect pedals onto your virtual pedalboard, and play along to learn new songs or hone your technique.
What's New with Arobas Guitar Pro 8?
With the Pro 8 edition you can now load in an audio track to serve as a backing track or as a notation source file. You can now nest triplets, which opens up a wealth of rhythmic options. Another perk is the new text input which supports quick edits. You can even shift beats and bar lines; transpose pieces diatonically; and pull the tempo down below 30 beats-per-minute. Plenty of other tweaks and fixes have been applied to streamline the user experience and polish up functions, gifting guitarists and band leaders with a multi-functional notation tool that does way more than you'd expect.

top programma, voor iedereen die gitaar speeld een echte aanwinst.. geen songbook nodig als je de tabs via de diversen tabs aanbieders download
Guitar pro is echt 00% top. Ik snap geheel niet waar de negatieve reviews op gebasseerd zijn. Instuderen gaat heel veel sneller en beter met de vele beschikbare goede tabs op het internet. Je kunt zelf ook makkelijk solo's/oefeningen maken.
Slecht, je moet ook een songbook erbij kopen en dit was een ramp. Na betaling kreeg ik een bevestiging en de nota maar GEEN sleutel. Diverse wil gestuurd die waarschijnlijk door een robot worden beantwoord. Ik moest naar een site met toelichting.
Tot op heden nog geen sleutel en Guitar Pro is nagenoeg waardeloos.
Ik ben zeer ontstemd.
Ik speel nu al 2 jaar gitaar en enkel met zelfstudie. Dat gaat goed en ik twijfelde al lang of dit een meerwaarde zou zijn. Ik heb Guitar Pro8 2 maanden geleden dan toch gekocht en het is een grote meerwaarde. Ik was aangenaam verrast en oefen bijna uitsluitend via Guitar Pro8. Je vind alle partituren ook via Tabs.com Je moet enkel zoeken naar de versie die je kan downloaden voor Guitar Pro. Je oefent echt wel gedisciplineerder met dit. Je kan ook de originele muziek heel makkelijk invoegen, aanpassen aan het bladmuziek als dat nodig is. Dat is niet zo moeilijk. Je vindt op youtube wel uitleg. Ik raad dit echt aan.

Excellent piece of software, even if it has some shortcomings IMO. These can easily be fixed with some minor upgrades. For me, I got it to assist with music reading for jazz guitar so that I can recognised the guitar chords in notation which is how a lot of the good books are presented.
To this end, I've put some transcriptions from Joe Pass. Anyone who has tried inputting jazz into notation knows it can be a bit of a chore because of all the accidentals. I've already picked up some very useful knowledge because apart from the above, we have to work out where to finger the chords in the best place.
This programme doesn't need a lot of work to get going but obviously you do need to do the work. Personally, I don't think much of the inbuilt sounds the programme uses so I'll have a bit of digging to do to see if this app can be linked to better libraries like Native Instruments.
One last point which has nothing to do with the programme is that it is actually cheaper to buy this via Bax that from the original suppliers web site.
