Antelope Audio Products Now Compatible with the Apple M1 Chip
Last November, Apple launched their new M1 Silicon chip. Based on a completely new architecture, the M1 chip is home to not just the CPU, but the RAM and video memory, which initially caused compatibility issues with certain hardware and software from Antelope Audio. Read on to find out more.
Antelope Audio's Hardware and Software is Fully Compatible with the Apple Silicon M1 Chip
On the 26th of February 2021, audio interface giant, Antelope Audio, announced that the compatibility issues regarding Apple's new M1 chip had been fully resolved for both their hardware and software. This means that Thunderbolt connections are once again fully supported by MacOS systems and that the AFX2 DAW plug-in functions as it should on any system running on the M1 chip - without the need for a make-shift USB connection. The only thing you have to do to make sure that your M1 system continues to function properly following future updates, is complete the steps explained here.
