New: Shure MV7i Smart Mic With Built-In Interface!
With a normal USB microphone, you can only record one source at a time. With the brand-new Shure Motiv MV7i Smart Mic, you can do a whole lot more.
The Shure Motiv MV7i Smart Mic: Microphone or Audio Interface?
The Shure Motiv Series has just welcomed a new member: the MV7i Smart Mic. Armed with the same MV7 capsule as the MV7x dynamic broadcast microphone and the MV7+ dynamic USB/XLR microphone, the MV7i delivers the same crisp sound. The difference lies in the connectors. The MV7x has an analogue XLR output and needs to be hooked up to an audio interface if you want to record audio with it, while the MV7i has both a built-in USB-C port and an XLR output, allowing you to connect directly to your computer or plug it into a mixer or interface. Not only that, Shure has uniquely equipped their latest smart-mic with an XLR/jack combo input that's compatible with microphones, keyboards, guitars and basses. That means you're free to plug in a second microphone for two-person podcasting or to record vocals and a guitar at the same time. So, to answer the question whether it's a microphone or an audio interface: it's actually both!
