Rode Drop the NT1 5th Gen Condenser Microphone
Twenty years back, when Rode first introduced the world to the NT1 it flipped the metaphorical table of the audio-based world. This was a 100% genuine condenser microphone that wasn't just affordable, but designed to kit out home recording studios with professional sound. And with the Rode NT1 5th Gen it truly comes of age.
Not an XLR Microphone. Not a USB Microphone. This is the NT1 5th Gen
At the core of the NT1 5th Gen we still get the renowned HF6 condenser capsule which, teamed up with the as-yet-unrivalled silent internal electronics, gives this microphone an enormous dynamic range. Besides that, you can hook this condenser up to your audio interface or mixer using a standard XLR cable, but thanks to the brand-new Rode Dual Connect port, you can also connect the NT1 5th Gen directly to your computer via USB. When USB-connected, you gain access to a shiny new Revolution preamp and can record in a high-grade 192kHz resolution with a 32-bit floating point. But that's not everything. This microphone even features DSP audio tools from Aphex, enabling users to optimise their recordings at the source.
