While it's got 'Broadcast' in its name, this 3-in-1 camera from Blackmagic is more than a broadcast camera alone since it can serve as a 4K production camera, as a 6K film camera and as a 4K studio camera. Claiming that this makes it massively versatile is an understatement; the URSA Broadcast G2 can be fully customised in terms of set-up depending on the project and, in addition to standard SD cards, you're free to pop in UHS-II cards and CFast 2.0 cards or hook up an external USB-C storage drive. Meanwhile, the supported file formats are just as flexible and impressive: H.265, ProRes and Blackmagic RAW.

6K Sensor for High-Quality Results in Poor Light Conditions

Whether filming a music video on-location or working on reports, the URSA G2 can do it all. The 6K sensor boasts a 6144 x 3456 resolution to ensure impeccable detail, and the lens mount is exchangeable which can be amazingly practical as it allows you to switch to a 4K resolution using B4 lenses or go back to 6K video using PL or EF lenses. Thanks to its enormous dynamic range, this Blackmagic Design camera even captures outstanding video in the dark with less grain and image noise.

In-Depth Control and Next-Gen Colour Science

Besides a small army of physical controls, the URSA Broadcast G2 camera features a handy fold-out touch-screen that can be used to access the most important functions, while said controls can be used to call up, assign and tweak custom presets (e.g. zebra, focus peaking, false colour, LUTs and more). The camera also comes with Blackmagic's Generation 5 Colour Science so you're assured of optimal colours no matter the scene, and it has been decked out with built-in ND filters so you can control the exposure, as well as 1/4, 1/16 and 1/64 stop filters so you can enhance the colorimetry.
