The etched open-pore finish of the ash top already gives this instrument some hefty esteem, and when you couple that with the five piece maple and panga panga neck and maple body wings, you're looking at flawless playability, stable and balanced tone, and excellent sustain.
The Cort A5 Ultra: High-Grade Build, High-Grade Hardware & Six-Times the Sound
The neck-through-construction and modern body shaping lay the playing comfort on thick while the tuning stability is fully reinforced by a high-quality Hipshot TransTone bridge and a full set of Hipshot Ultralite machine heads. This combines with the build to result in a rich and clear foundation that, when plugged in, is fully translated by a pair of Fishman Fluence Bass Soap-Bars that come backed up by three extra voicings for a total of six tonal profiles. Ultra-versatile, ultra-deluxe, and ultra-focussed: this is definitely the Ultra-edition of the Cort A5.
