This retro-futuristic four-string lays a set of two passive Seymour Duncan SSB-4 humbuckers complete with active tone controls on top of a swamp ash body so you can expect big sound and a full-fat sonic range. This is the ESP LTD GB-4. Rein in the output via a stacked bass and treble pot and an independent mid-range pot and pop out the push/pull volume pot to activate a specially voiced EQ to transform this bass into an all-out slap-monster. Ultra-stable, this model has even been set up for drop-tunings.

The ESP LTD GB-4: Maximum Quality

The ash body is bound to a maple neck via a set of five bolts, keeping things as stable as they get, while the Gotoh 404BO-4 bridge has been fitted with brass saddles which not only boost presence, but can be set up to run the strings through the body or through the bridge as preferred. The neck is nice and narrow and has been given a Thin-U profile to keep fret navigation fast and fluid and the pups feature soapbar-style covers, offering a comfy thumb rest whether spitting punk, pop, metal or even jazz.
