The heart of the build is formed by specially-selected yet familiar woods, where the two-piece alder body has been joined to a bolt-on, quarter-sawn maple that comes finished with a laminated maple fretboard and the same black block inlays that Fender used back in '68. Equipped with two Hand-Wound Custom Shop Vintage-Style Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, this first-class Fender bass serves up a full range of famous vintage sounds, but it also sounds lively and dynamic when played unplugged. The sound of both Custom Shop pickups can be isolated or blended as preferred using the volume pots and, lastly, there's a single tone pot at your disposal to lighten or darken the overall sound as needed.
