The body and hardware of the basses in the series are made in South Korea, carefully put together in Germany and finally set up by Sandberg's own luthiers. The result is a bass that boasts premium playability, a warm vintage foundation sound and modern finishing touches like active controls as well as cut and boost controls for the basses and trebles .

The Sandberg Electra TT4: J-Style Pickups

While the maple neck comes topped with a rosewood fretboard, the J-style body of this Sandberg offering has been carved from basswood to guarantee warm, mid-rich tone and comes loaded with matching J-style pickups. These specially-developed Alnico 5 single-coils lay down a passive vintage-style foundation before any sound is sent to the active preamp, where a broad spectrum of flexible sounds can be dialled in using the 2-band EQ and the balance pot.

Zero Fret, String Spacing and a Unique String Tree

Sandberg have provided the California TT4 with some striking and incredibly precise features. The zero fret sitting just after the nut means you get the same tone when you play with open as well as fretted strings.
