You'd think that a guitar with such imposing specifications as this SR1100B from Ibanez comes at an equally imposing price, but nothing could be further from the truth. This electric bass from the brand's Premium Series excels in all possible ways and features an African mahogany body and a maple/purple heart neck for a broad, warm sound with sunny-bright highs. Anything but standard, the roasted maple neck was given a special treatment to ensure optimal balance and sustain, and comes complemented by an elegant birds eye maple fretboard. The rich sound of this bass is reproduced in all of its glory by two massive-sounding Nordstrand Big Single pickups and can be tweaked via an extensive set of tone controls. Ibanez surely haven't overlooked playability and as such, have blessed the SR1100B with an Atlas-4 neck profile, Premium Fret Edge Treatment and comfortable body contours for hours of relaxed jamming.
