Pearl's ePro Live is a revolutionary electronic drum kit with the look, feel and sound of an acoustic kit. It offers boundless possibilities when it comes to drumming sounds and a realistic playing feel, thanks to the combination of real drum shells, hardware and cymbals, and electronic drumheads and the r.e.d. box module.

This is the Pearl ePro Live EPEXL725/C249 in Honey amber, which consists of a 22 x 18-inch bass drum, 12 x 8 and 13 x 9-inch toms, a 16 x 16-inch floor tom and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum.

In ePro Live, the power of the ePro electronics are combined with Pearl's Export series drum kits. Logically, the ePro Powered by Export kits are available in various finishes, both lacquers and wraps. This hybrid drum kit has authentic Pearl wooden drum shells and comes with Tru-Trac Electronic Drumheads. The latter can easily be replaced by regular drumheads, so that you can quickly and easily convert the ePro Live into an acoustic drum kit.

r.e.d. box

At the heart of this electronic kit, you'll find the r.e.d. box (with r.e.d. being an acronym for Real Electronic Drums): a module with 128 MBs of RAM, 100 high-definition sounds and 100 high-definition drum kits. Furthermore, it has space for storing 100 drum kits of your own creation. Another unique feature is the Memory Switch, which allows you to replace the r.e.d. box samples with different ones that you can download from the Pearl website. After that you can easily transfer them to the module by connecting it to your computer via USB. You can even back up the original files before you replace them.

Hardware included

The stands that come with this electronic kit are part of Pearl's HWP-830 hardware pack, and you'll also receive wooden bass drum hoops and regular Remo drumheads. The Tru-Trac electronic drumheads are dual-zone pads, which means that they can reproduce all the intricacies and nuances that you would play on an acoustic drum kit. The EHH-2 Tru-Trac hi-hat will fit any hi-hat stand, giving you a realistic playing feel. Combined with the redbox module, the EHH-2 can produce a wide variety of sounds, from an open hi-hat sound to half-open, and even a pedal chick and splash. Finally, a set of cymbals is also included.
