First presented in 2011 to celebrate Odery's 20th birthday, the Eyedentity-Series has since undergone a three-year-long upgrade to bring them bang up-to-date. While the series offers a number of sets shaped from various woods, this set of five EYE125 shells have been crafted using North-American maple to guarantee a balanced response across the highs and lows, and the configuration sets you up with a 22-inch by 18-inch kick drum, a 10-inch by 7-inch and 12-inch by 7.5-inch tom, a 16-inch by 13-inch floor tom, and a 14-inch by 6-inch snare. Each shell has been finished in a Mappa Burl Brown Fade lacquer and mounted with ultra-modern, chrome-plated hardware.

Ultra-Modern Shell Hardware

Those three years of development largely went into enhancing the shell hardware to ensure optimum resonance. The included EYE floating tom suspension system is fitted to the lugs of the toms so they are mounted on cymbal stands, leaving the kick drum shell entirely intact. The tension clamps of the kick have also been mounted onto the tension hoops, which not only ensures minimal contact with the shell, but avoids hoop damage and supports quick drumhead changes. To finish, the included set of floor tom legs have been chambered to effectively disperse resonance.

EYE125 Snare Drum

The 6-inch deep snare provides more than enough range to back up pretty much any playing style. This striking snare has also been finished with a specially-designed snare-strainer which, besides the on/off switch, provides four memory settings for eased real-time adjustments while playing, while the Evans drumheads are held firmly in place with rim-shot resistant Power Hoops.
