In their Export line, Pearl brings us this kit in Electric Blue Sparkle, complete with improved latest hardware and fabricated in line with Pearl's Superior Shell Technology. This is a reasonably-priced drum set for beginners, but certainly nothing that an advanced player should scoff at.

Pearl builds their drum sets according to the 'sound comes first' philosophy, and that is obvious when you consider their new lugs. These lightweight lugs have a sleek, modern look, but still harken back to the original Pearl lugs. Because they make minimal contact with the shells, they allow for better resonance. To mount your toms, Pearl includes their Opti-Loc tom mounting system which allows for greater stability, sustain and resonance. De Pearl EXX705BR/C702 consists of a 20 x 18" bass drum, 10 x 7" and 12 x 8" toms, a 14 x 14" floor tom, as well as a 14 x 5.5" snare drum. All shells are made from 6 plies of mahogany and poplar, giving the drums that famous Pearl sound: deep and rich!

Stands and cymbals

Included is a high-quality HWP-830 hardware pack which contains a BC-830 adjustable boom cymbal stand, a C-830 cymbal stand, an H-830 hi-hat stand, an S-830 snare drum stand and TH-701 tom holders. Additionally, this kit also comes with a P-930 Demonator bass drum pedal and a set of Sabian cymbals. The Sabian cymbal set consists of a pair of 14" hi-hat cymbals, a 16" crash and a 20" ride cymbal! In short, it makes for a great start to your drumming career!
