The Yamaha MP AS 4CM mouthpiece for alto saxophone is great for beginners and advanced players. With this model, it's quite easy to obtain a clear, focused sound over the entire range of your instrument.
The Custom series
After some time, it's usually a good idea to replace your mouthpiece. Even if you like the one you currently have, it can still be very beneficial to have other models that are suited for different styles and highlight different characteristics. Yamaha offers a large selection of mouthpieces divided into different series, and this mouthpiece is a member of the Custom series. These models are made of ebonite, which is a type of vulcanised hard rubber with woody sound properties. Moreover, Yamaha consulted a number of experienced musicians during the development stages and put their feedback into the design, to ensure perfection. The result is a series of mouthpieces with incredibly accurate intonation, a warm, clear sound and excellent performance.
