The Latin Percussion Mambo Cowbell is a black 8.5-inch cowbell with a slightly lower-pitched and drier sound than the LP205 Timbale Cowbell. With its sharp, raised playing surface, it's a great fit for use in a timbale setup. Furthermore, you can securely mount the LP-229 to any standard 3/8-inch rod.
