This pentatonic tuned Schlagwerk CH940M wind chime produces the kind of rolling resonance able to transport you to a temple built in the name of Shiva. The Shiva Shakti (shakti is the Hindi word for 'power') wind chimes offer precisely what they claim. The bell-like sound can add the potency of complex colour to the range of a percussionists rig, and since this is the largest of the series, and measures a good 175cm long, the pitch is incredibly low, making the specific notes more difficult to pick out and leaving you with a layered and lush buzz of tones that's better described as atmospheric than tuned.
