This CAT 50 UTP network cable is ordered per metre, so that you are free to order whatever amount you need. The cable is flexible and isolated and contains four copper wires. Speeds of up to a 100 MB/s (Fast Ethernet) are possible and frequencies of up to a 100 MHz. Gigabit Ethernet of up to a 1000 MB/s is supported (in accordance with the CAT50 cable specification) by using all four copper wires, whereas the 100 MB/s Fast Ethernet connection only use two of the four wires.
