The legendary Fender Stratocaster is often imitated but never equalled. Fender have given both the sound and looks of their most popular classic an upgrade with the all new American Standard series. This American Standard Stratocaster is equipped with a set of Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s pickups and aged white synthetic covers and knobs for a fat vintage sound and look. The beautifully grained solid alder body of this electric guitar has a stunning 3-colour sunburst finish. This version has a one-piece maple neck with a clearer sound than the rosewood version. A sturdy SKB case with TSA latches, a guitar strap, an instrument cable and a polishing cloth are all included with this guitar.

The American Standard Stratocaster's modern improvements

Although the appearance hasn't changed much since 1954, Fender have kept this model up to date providing the neck of the American Standard Stratocaster with 22 medium jumbo frets, a two-way truss rod and a flatter 9.5-inch fretboard radius. The neck allows for low action without loss of notes. The vintage-style bridge of this guitar has just two pivot points ensuring a better tuning stability. The new friction-free design of the bridge saddles prevents string breakage and the copper infused steel block gives your notes a better sustain. The tuners for the D, G, B and E strings have shorter shafts, eliminating the need for a second string guide, and thus eliminating unwanted rattles and noise while increasing tone and sustain.

'50s Strat sound with an attitude!

Fender have equipped their American Standard Stratocaster with three Custom Shop Fat '50s pickups, an upgrade that really does the authentic Strat sound justice. The alnico 5 single coils have a clear vintage sound with a bit more output and bass and a milder midrange. Simply a full, fat, hum-free sound thanks to the reverse-wound middle pickup. This guitar is also equipped with Fender's Delta Tone no-load circuit for the middle and bridge pickups. The Delta Tone circuit features a tone knob that functions as a regular one in positions 1 to 9 but takes itself out of the circuit in position 10, creating a more natural, rougher, biting tone, especially in bridge position.
