With the American Custom Stratocaster, the Custom Shop have produced a flawless blend of chic looks, pure tone, and butter-smooth playability, all with ancient Fender DNA at its core. The two-piece body has been sculpted using specially selected ash that's then been carefully and deeply contoured for a luxuriously snug feel and the neck is, of course, just as thoughtfully crafted from a piece of AAA birdeye maple. The whole has then been coated in NOS nitrocellulose that gives the wood ample room to breathe and mature as it ages. The Fender American Custom Stratocaster comes complete with a deluxe case, strap, and a certificate of authenticity.

The American Custom Stratocaster: Pure and Balanced Tone

Fender have loaded up this Strat with three hand-wound Dual-Mag pickups that take their name from the two kinds of magnets that make up their guts. On the bass-side of each pickup, a potent alnico V has been fitted while on the treble-side, a nice and warm alnico II. The result is an instrument able to deliver awesomely balanced sound that gives clear voice to every single note. All the routings have been earthed and shielded to counter any possible unwanted noise, while other more practical but no-less effective details, include the Tone-Save Treble Bleed circuit that retains the tonal integrity no matter how high the volume is pushed.

Unrivalled Playing Comfort

Besides the drop-dead looks and hair-raising quality of sound, the American Custom Strat naturally offers an insane level of playing comfort. The compound fretboard radius gradually rises from 9.5-inches at the nut and ends at a tight feeling 12-inches at the body, making the string-grip as supple and natural feeling as it gets, and the heel has been sensitively rounded for eased access to every one of the 22 medium jumbo frets. Add this insane list of specs to the Sperzel machine heads and abalone position markers, and you have an instrument with the kind of compulsive playability that you can never let go of.
