The Mustang was originally developed as a student-friendly model and has since grown up to become an underground hero. Reflecting the rebel within, Fender Japan have given this model a reversed headstock and simplified the pick-up system by replacing the awkward old-school slide-switches with a more accessible three-way switch. And, to really change up the sonic palette, the Single-Coil Mustang pickup planted at the neck has been teamed up with a Shawbucker at the bridge.

The comfy rosewood fretboard combines with a shortened 24 inch scale length to provide tight and snug playability, especially for guitarists with a shorter frame.
