Built in Japan, this edition of the Sidewinder brings way more than just an elegant vibe. The sonic profile starts with the airy foundation of the chambered body and the sublime tonal warmth of the high-quality mahogany neck, which has been set-in for maximum resonance and stability. This is masterfully translated by a set of two custom-wound TV Jones Humbuckers complete with tortoiseshell inserts, so you're assured of classic, sparkling twang framed by tight basses and softly rounded mids. Thanks to the treble bleed circuit, clarity is guaranteed at every volume setting, while the no-load tone circuit bypasses the tone pot altogether when it's pushed all the way back to zero. To complete the palette with some tasteful vibrato work, Gretsch have loaded the Professional Collection G6130T Sidewinder with a string thru Bigsby B3 tailpiece, and to keep the tuning stability fully on point, the headstock has been fitted with a set of Gotoh locking machine heads.
