The Jackson DX2 is a Mark Morton Signature guitar from the affordable X Series. Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton clearly has put his mark on this budget-friendly Jackson as it features special Morton pickups and a Mark Morton Dominion headstock with white tuning pegs. It has a beautiful Transparent Black finish, through which you can still see the wood of the body. Thanks to the compound-radius fretboard, you can play comfortably along the entire length of the fretboard (with 24 vintage frets).
Jackson DX2: neck and pickups
The neck of the DX2 is made of maple, has been reinforced with graphite and is of the through-body type so that you won't be hindered playing at the higher positions of the neck. The adjustable bridge has a tailpiece. Together with Morton, DiMarzio developed the Signature humbuckers. The sound of both pickups are perfectly in tune, taking care of a warm sound, a tight response and an output that is just a bit higher than that of a vintage humbucker.
