The double-locking tremolo on the AX40D

A particularly enticing feature of this guitar for beginner guitarist is its very stable double-locking tremolo. This means you can effortlessly create the deepest tone bends, and still retain your tuning. Additionally, the DiMarzio AXIS humbuckers have a high output with a warm, deep and expressive tonal character. Another striking feature of the AX40D is its headstock, which is in the same style as the transparent black quilted maple veneer on the body.

Rugged, user-friendly construction

The 22-fret maple neck of the Sterling by Music Man AX40D is bolted onto the body with five screws, ensuring an ultra-rugged construction that greatly enhances tone and sustain. Should you ever wish to adjust the neck, doing so is child's play. The characteristic Music Man truss rod nut is on the end of the neck and can easily be adjusted without removing the neck or strings. Additionally, this guitar has a deep cutaway and a delightfully smooth satin-soft neck.
