This Portuguese master has played Washburn axes for more than 25 years and has poured every bit of his experience into the N2 Nuno Signature model. The body comes shaped with the innovative Stephen’s® Extended Cutaway to place each of the 22 frets within easy reach and make this guitar unshakably stable. Combine this with the Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge and set of Grover Exclusive machine heads, and you have an insanely reliable tone monster.

The Elastic Tone of the N2

Nuno Bettencourt is already well known for his work with Extreme and Generation Axe, but you may be unaware that he's also toured with Rihanna as her more-than-qualified lead guitarist. Such a flexible and wide ranging musician obviously demands an instrument that's able to keep up. As such, the basswood body of the N2 has been mounted with a Bill Lawrence humbucker at the bridge to provide a solid foundation that's then supported and balanced by a Washburn-made humbucker at the neck. Use the push/pull volume pot to split the humbuckers and flip the elastic tone of the N2 from full-fat to transparent in an instant. To finish, the body and neck of this uncompromising model has been coated in a clean satin-gloss for an unbelievably comfortable feel.
