Old Violin Sunburst is a look that definitely becomes the Yamaha Pacifica 510V. This classic finish is a great match for the electric guitar's sleek alder body with its single pickup in bridge position and elegant white pickguard. At first glance, the 510V may strike you as a regular Pacifica that has been stripped of two of its single-coils. That's only partly true, though; the single-coil pickups may be missing, but near the bridge, you'll find an incredibly versatile P-Rails pickup by Seymour Duncan. The guitar's hardware has also been upgraded, and now consists of a Wilkinson tremolo bridge and Grover Locking machine heads.

PAC510V: the versatility of the P-Rails pickup

The Pacifica 510V's single Seymour Duncan pickup combines three different pickup types. It consists of a P90 soapbar and a single-coil rail pickup. Use the latter individually for a clean, clear sound, or switch to the P-90 for more warmth and a nice bite. Together, the two function as a full-fledged humbucker, delivering a full, fat sound and additional output. You can select one of the three sounds using the 3-way pickup switch. Furthermore, you'll find a volume knob and a tone knob for filtering the high frequencies.

Tuning stability and user-friendliness

The Yamaha Pacifica 510V is equipped with six Grover locking machine heads that automatically lock the strings while you're tuning, ensuring optimal tuning stability. They also make it easier and faster to change your strings. The PAC 510V's bridge is a hard steel tremolo by the famous Wilkinson brand that is incredibly stable, feels quite supple, and delivers outstanding intonation. Thanks to the self-lubricating Graphtech TusQ XL nut, you'll be able to produce deep dive bombs without affecting your tuning.
