The Canadian brand Seagull offers a warm, full sound with the S6 Mahogany Deluxe SG - an electro-acoustic dreadnought with solid mahogany top and electronics from the esteemed Fishman. The Fishman Sonitone module is mounted on the inside of the sound hole with controls for volume and tone. Such an addition makes the Seagull S6 quite versatile, so you can play and be heard whether you're at home or on stage.

Seagull S6 Mahogany Deluxe

This Seagull guitar was built and finished with great care at Seagull's home base in Canada. It features a solid mahogany top for a full sound and plenty of sustain, and its sides and back are made of laminated mahogany. Silver Leaf Maple was used for the neck, and the guitar has been given a Custom Polished satin gloss finish for a great look and feel. Rugged tuners (sealed, self-lubricating, 14:1 ratio) grace the signature tapered Seagull headstock, which gives this instrument excellent tuning stability.

Tusq and neck width

Tusq, a hard synthetic material made by Graph Tech, was used to fashion the bridge saddle and string nut. The great thing about Tusq is its self-lubricating property, which keeps the S6 nicely in tune and also keeps the strings from breaking as quickly due to excessive friction. Another noteworthy feature is the relatively wide neck size at the string nut. Measuring in at 46 mm, it's actually closer to the width of a classical guitar, resulting in less cramped finger positioning which is great for beginners and for playing chords.
