It was made using only the best materials to appease even the most demanding of customers. The Tongo Carved djembe's drumhead, for instance, is made of carefully hand-selected cow skin. The cowskin drumheads on the mahogany djembe are highly durable and they allow you to produce powerful high-frequency slaps. It is pre-fitted to the djembe with thirty pre-stretched HTP nylon ropes. Furthermore, the rubber bottom of the djembe doesn't just look nice, it also helps protect the instrument from being scratched. Finally, the DJTC1-L was roughly carved out of a solid piece of mahogany, giving it a beautiful, authentic and robust look.
