The Meinl DJW3AB-M is a relatively compact djembe with a modest low end, but that is certainly made up for by its extra sharp slaps. The 24.25-inch shell is made of rubberwood with a matte African Brown finish, inspired by the original West-African drums. Furthermore, it features a True Skin goatskin drumhead with a 12-inch diameter. Thanks to the rubber pads, this percussion instrument is very comfortable to play, even for extended periods of time. It's a great instrument, regardless of whether you're a solo musician or part of a larger band.

Simple but effective tuning system

This Meinl djembé features a simple yet effective tuning system. It's called the Floatune Tuning System, and it features a 3mm-thick rounded SSR hoop and 8mm-thick chrome lugs to keep the drumhead in tune. To make tuning the drum even easier, Meinl included an L-shaped tuning key. You also get some Tune Up oil, which keeps the drumhead in good shape and further facilitates easy tuning.
