Thanks to the ultra-flat frequency response and upgraded, compact housing, the HK Audio Linear 5 MKII 110 XA active speaker can be set up as a stage monitor or as part of a professional PA system. Leaving most of the bass to the subwoofers, this high and mid speaker has been built into a heavy-duty plywood and MDF cabinet, keeping the weight low (between 2 and 3 kilograms lighter than the previous generation) while retaining the acoustic characteristics of real wood.

The HK Audio Linear 5 MKII: Improved Performance & Network Connection

Besides being easier to shift, the L5 MKII 110 XA is now less sensitive to feedback, boasts improved audio dispersion and more detailed and accurate audio reproduction. Since this is the active model, it also offers four different DSP presets and network connectivity that supports remote control while a set of intelligent digital limiters pull out more sound pressure than previous models ever could. Via the fitted DuoTilt stand flange, the speaker can be positioned in one of two different angles to support optimum spread or simply suspended via the M8 mounting points as part of a fixed installation.

DSP Control Software

All of the digital settings of the Linear 5 MKII speaker can be remotely controlled via the compatible DSP Control software, which can be used to toggle your entire PA system or just manage the stage monitors. Set the gain, tweak the ten-band parametric equalizer, set the high-pass and low-pass filters, the delay, the limiters and even flip the polarity switch - all from a comfortable distance. Integrate the speaker into your network via the EtherCon port fitted on the rear, and to send the processed signal to speakers that aren't connected to the network, simply use the fitted DSP Out XLR port.
