Mackie's black DLM12 is a compact active full-range two-way speaker with a 12-inch woofer and a 1.75-inch compression driver, both supported by a digital DPL processor. It has a maximum capacity of 2,000 Watts, a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 127 dB, and a frequency range that ranging 38 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). But it's the TruSource technology that makes this speaker really remarkable. Mackie's vertically aligned TruSource driver, which has a high-compression driver mounted within the woofer, ensures that sound waves are dispersed without getting in each other's way, resulting in a natural sound. That means the DLM12 can be used to play music in venues like pubs and clubs, but it can also serve as a monitor.

Mixer and DLP

The DLM12 features a DL2 integrated digital 2-channel mixer and, located at the rear of the speaker, there are various connectors, including XLR and mic/line, 16 different effects, and 6 speaker modes that suit rooms of various sizes. You can also adjust the volume for each audio channel, and there's an equalizer with three adjustable user presets. The DML12's integrated DLP processor offers nearly the same settings, but allows you to determine the crossover frequency as well, ensuring effortless compatibility with speakers from other brands.

Always Room for the DLM12

Mackie's DLM12 is a remarkably compact device. In fact, it's 33% smaller than the average two-way speaker, but offers the same quality. This two-way speaker can be positioned in various ways. You can mount it on a distance rod or a stand, or place it on a wall unit, for instance, but there are more options. Thanks to an integrated kick stand, the DLM12 can serve as a floor monitor, but it's also possible to fly the speaker from its three M10 mounting points.
