Zildjian's K Custom cymbals have a modern, dark and dry sound. These 14.25-inch hi-hats are part of the Hybrid series within the K Custom line, which consists of cymbals that have been developed in collaboration with drumming icon Akira Jimbo, feature a lathed outer edge with a traditional finish, and a brilliant, unlathed centre - hence the name Hybrid. Besides that unique lathing, these Hybrid Hi-Hats feature a medium-light top cymbal and a medium-weight bottom cymbal with reverse Mastersound 'Hybrid Hammering' along the outer edge. The increased surface area on the contact points between the cymbals lets the air flow differently and creates a warmer 'chick'.
