The limited edition K Custom Hybrid Reversible hi-hat designed in collaboration with Akira Jimbo is a particularly unique hi-hat thanks to its interesting combination of finishes. One cymbal features a traditional finish on the inside and a brilliant finish on the outside, and the other cybal is the opposite. As such, you can produce a wide range of different sounds depending on where you strike the cymbal.
The traditional finish offers a dark, low intonation while the brilliant finish offers brightness and clarity. Both cymbals are medium-thin, and while you'd normally have a clear difference between the top and bottom hi-hat, that's not the case with the Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Reversible - you can choose for yourself which cymbal to mount to your clutch.
