The Yamaha MKA-03 is a professional mallet developed in collaboration with Keiko Abe, a Japanese marimba player. The mallet is equipped with a weighted core, for an excellent playing volume. The heavy character of this mallet ensures that the keys of the marimba resonate optimally. A rich and balanced tone is produced that is excellent for advanced players. This 400mm mallet is a little shorter than a standard mallet. Thanks to this size, you are provided with optimal control over your playing and thanks to the flexible rattan shaft, you can easily play quick passages. The hard head has a diameter of 30 x 20 mm and is designed with rugged white yarn. You can recognise this mallet because of its orange tape at the underside, so you can easily see whether you have the right mallet. The Yamaha MKA03 mallet is especially well suited for higher registers and it is excellent for professional players.
