Ibanez designed the M700SAVS mandolin to be able to offer a high-quality instrument to advanced musicians. Let's start with the most important thing: the sound. The top of this F-style mandolin is made of beautiful arched Sitka spruce, a high density Canadian wood type that delivers a full, balanced, crystal-clear sound. Because the top is made of solid wood, you can also look forward to powerful volume. The sound also enjoys extra clarity, thanks to the solid maple sides and back.

A treat for the ears and the eyes

Ibanez wanted to create a mandolin that looked as beautiful as it sounded, an endeavour that we think was very successful, thanks in part to the gorgeous flamed maple they used. The body has an arched top and back, and features a tasteful glossy antique violin sunburst (AVS) finish, accompanied by ivory coloured bindings and a rosewood pickguard. The adjustable bridge is also made of rosewood, and it was cut in such a way as to compensate for the intonation. Attractive bronze strings complete the picture.
