To celebrate 25 years of a studio legend, Neumann have dropped just 500 limited editions of the TLM 103 large-diaphragm condenser microphone - each wrapped in a unique titanium finish. Each example has been individually numbered and comes pre-packed inside a deluxe case complete with a black shockmount and a pair of gloves, so your grubby mitts need never touch the body and leave greasy and unsightly fingerprints in their wake.
The Neumann TLM 103: Hear the Grass Grow
Ever since the TLM 103 first saw the light of day, the ultra-low 7dB-A self-noise level made it the quietest microphone of all time. Even 25 years later, its record has yet to be smashed, and while you could see the TLM 103 as a slightly cheaper and easier to work with alternative to the U 87, the fixed cardioid polar pattern, more modern voicing and transformer-free output of this mike make it as irresistible as ever.
